Honkaku  Potato Shochu
Benikirara

Having a flamboyantly sweet aroma and uniquely sweet flavor, this potato shochu is made from Miyazaki Benikirara and Kogane-Sengan potatoes cultivated by the “green manure” method and fermented with koji obtained from domestically produced rice.

Preliminary mash: koji   Secondary mash: potato
Using black koji mold and white koji mold / Atmospheric distillation

This is a Taikoshu (long-matured sake) shochu that undergoes aging for at least 10 years. In addition to the aroma of Kogane-Sengan, it has a subtle citrus bouquet derived from the Benikirara. This gives rise to a deep and uniquely soft sweetness. Both the aroma and flavor have a fruity, tropical feel.In addition, this shochu features a deep body and profound palate typical of well-matured liquor.
